A sweet birthday message from Twinkle Khanna to her son Aarav, who turns 20
Aarav Bhatia, the son of Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar, turns 20 on Friday. His mother, Twinkle, also sent a sweet birthday message for him along with a sneak preview of the festivities. Twinkle posted some images of Aarav encircled by balloons on her Instagram. The former actress, now a writer, also sent a lengthy letter to her son in which she discussed letting go of children as they age.
Twinkle Khanna posted a few images of a beaming Aarav surrounded by several balloons, one of which read "Happy birthday" and appeared to be sitting in a car. Twinkle shared a long comment beside the photos on Instagram.
And he turns 20! It’s hard enough raising them, but it’s harder to finally let go. The problem is we create each block of their being. Pile it together in a structure we see fit when they are little. We do this year after year, and get so used to it that we forget that those blocks finally belong to them.It’s been hard to step back, but I am so proud of what this wonderful boy is building with his blocks. Akshay Kumar on Aarav Joining the Industry
Nitara, their nine-year-old daughter, is also a child of Akshay and Twinkle. It has been widely assumed that Aarav will follow in the footsteps of his father and work in the film industry.
Aarav is merely a teenager "enjoying his life," according to comments made by Akshay in a previous interview. "There's no reason to pressure him by talking about his career. I believe that children experiencing pressure won't occur until parents, in a way, place some load. He remarked that I am comfortable with my children choosing to become painters, doctors, or restaurant owners.
