Abhishek Bachchan to reunite with R Balki after 12 years
According to reports, Abhishek Bachchan is set to join forces with acclaimed filmmaker R Balki once again. The duo has previously worked together on the 2009 comedy-drama film Paa, which also featured Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan in the lead roles.
Junior Bachchan and Balki are next collaborating on a project which promises to be yet another ground-breaking drama.
The filmmaker is looking at beginning production on his new venture early in 2022 right after wrapping up Chup: Revenge Of The Artiste with Dulquer Salman, Pooja Bhatt, Sunny Deol and Shreya Dhanwanthary.
Spilling more beans, a source in the know informs a publication, “It will be something totally unique and out-of-the box like Paa. After Paa Abhishek and Balki have been waiting to find the right vehicle to come together again.”
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan is looking forward to the release of his much-awaited film Bob Biswas. Produced by Sujoy Ghosh and Shah Rukh Khan, the upcoming film is a spin-off of Ghosh’s Kahaani (2012). Bob Biswas is scheduled to premiere on December 3, 2021, on ZEE5.
Bachchan has also wrapped up Maddock Films’ Dasvi, co-starring Nimrat Kaur and Yami Gautam. He will soon commence work on the next season of his successful streaming show Breathe: Into the Shadows.
