In the upcoming Shivaji-based film directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Akshay Kumar will shortly make his Marathi movie debut. The actor plays Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat. The movie Vaseem Qureshi produced is based on the story of seven brave soldiers who dedicated their lives to realizing Shivaji Maharaj's vision of Swarajya and creating one of history's most glorious pages.

On Tuesday in Mumbai, Raj Thackeray, the MNS leader, and Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, attended a mahurat filming ceremony for the film. Ram Setu, Akshay's fifth movie of the year, was released a few days before the announcement. He plays an archaeologist in the film who sets out to save an ancient building.

Speaking of, Akshay talked about his Marathi film debut, "It's a dream role come true for me. I believe it is a tremendous responsibility to portray Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the big screen. I was surprised when Raj Sir asked me to take on this role.

I'm playing a character that has been a dream come true, and I love every minute of it. I will also be working with director Mahesh Manjrekar for the first time, which will be interesting.

Mahesh Manjrekar described the film as his ideal undertaking and claimed to have spent the previous seven years working on it due to the significant research required.

"I want everyone to know the history of the most powerful Hindu king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It is unquestionably the most fantastic Marathi movie ever made. I believe Akshay Kumar is the best person to play Shivaji Maharaj. I am happy to have him on board, he remarked.

The chief minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, continued, "This film will be a super hit; my best wishes are with them. The movie also has the support of Raj Thackeray. Balasahab Thackeray formerly supported Marathi movies.
