Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda mercilessly trolled for their leaked 'emotional scene' from Liger
Liger (2022), starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, debuted to mixed to unfavourable reviews from the general audience and critics. People posted their opinions of the movie on social media soon after it was released. Ananya and Vijay's chemistry has been criticised, and one of their scenes has since been turned into a meme template.
Ananya starts crying in the scene as a furious Liger shouts "I love you." The internet is being disrupted by this scene and Panday's reactions. Even though the scenario is intended to make the audience emotional, online users are laughing a lot over it.
Several online users made fun of the lead actors as soon as the video surfaced. One user posted, "And she got a Filmfare award..." Another user wrote that both Vijay and Ananya acted badly, "I thought he was going to sneeze. But is this how a person stammer? Like seriously?" One person wrote, "Bollywood with such lower than mediocrity has been there for almost 1.5 decades. Ppl were fools watching crap…could be because they were just better than worse. Just that it has changed now and ppl expect better scripts acting…not some childish crap!"
Several people have taken offence by Vijay's direct opinions and forthright demeanour. Executive director of the well-known Maratha Mandir and Gaiety Galaxy, Manoj Desai, criticised Vijay for his views and making fun of the boycott culture.
