Laal Singh Chaddha’ is the official Hindi remake of the Oscar-winning film ‘Forest Gump’. The film was headlined by Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Ironically this was the first film that Kareena had ever screen tested for. The film took several years to get legal permission to shoot. Adding to that, Bollywood's perfectionist, Aamir Khan took a long time to complete the shoot. After such hard work, the makers of the film were caught off guard when a ‘Boycott’ for the film was requested by a section of the audience.

In a recent interview, Anupam Kher veteran actor who recently was seen in the sensational ‘Kashmir FIles’ shared his thoughts on the same. For the unversed, the Boycott was called for some comments Aamir Khan had made in the past about intolerance. Anupam in the interview said, If someone one feels that they should start a trend, they are free to do so. There are new trends on Twitter every day.” The certain actor himself has worked with Aamir Khan in the past but that did not have him shy away and he blatantly added, “If you have said something in the past, it will surely haunt you.”

There were several reports that the makers of the film are suffering huge losses because of the Boycott. They even induced some distributors demanded compensation for the dismal performance of the film.

The CEO of Viacom 18 Ajit Andhare cleared the air, “There are no external distributors, its being distributed by V18Studios, and no money is lost in the first place. The film is still running in theatres, both in India & internationally. This is baseless speculation.”
