Are Aamir Khan & Ranbir Kapoor indeed starring in Anurag Basu's next? Deets inside!
For quite some time now, speculations were rife that Anurag Basu's next project will feature superstar Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles. It was being said that the film has been conceptualized by Aamir Khan Productions and is in the initial stage of production. A report had also claimed that the project will be ‘high on VFX’.
However, the Life In A Metro (2007) filmmaker has put all rumours regarding the collaboration to rest. Taking to Twitter, Anurag wrote, "Woke up to the news of my new film with Amir and Ranbir... Wish it was true!"
Meanwhile, both Ranbir Kapoor and Aamir Khan have a slate of interesting projects lined up. Both actors were last seen on the silver screen in 2018 and hence, the audience is waiting to watch their new films with bated breath.
Aamir will be next seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, one of the highly anticipated films of this year. The movie, which is a remake of Hollywood film Forrest Gump (which starred Tom Hanks in the lead role), also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. It is slated to release on 11 August 2022.
On the other hand, Ranbir is looking forward to the release of Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra (2022). The film marks his maiden on-screen collaboration with his wife Alia Bhatt. Besides, he'll also feature in Luv Ranjan's untitled project opposite Shraddha Kapoor and also in the upcoming film Animal (2023) alongside Rashmika Mandanna.
