Bhumi Pednekar talked about her experience playing a Marathi wife in "Govinda Naam Mera" after people responded favorably to the film's funny dialogue and powerful performances in the trailer. Bhumi provided some insight into her personality "One of the most intriguing people who has ever crossed my path is Gauri Waghmare. While being funny, bossy, and witty, she is also ambitious, strong-willed, and filled with many desires. Nothing matters to her, period." She continued, "Since I'm from Maharashtra, I had the chance to include some of my heritage in this persona. Gauri was a product of my efforts to alter her body, appearance, and speech patterns. I eventually have to portray a role that requires such a complex character."
