Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Wednesday ahead of the 2023 men's hockey World Cup hosted by the state. Ranveer reaches Cuttack to participate in pre-event festivities at the Barabati Stadium. Music director Pritam and actress Disha Patani will also participate in Wednesday's celebrations. Chalo Odisha's official page on Instagram has shared the video of the meeting of Ranveer Singh and CM Naveen Patnaik.

The inaugural ceremony of the event to the Hockey World Cup is the precursor, which Odisha hosts for the second consecutive time from January 13-29. Ranveer Singh and Disha Patani's performance is scheduled for 3 pm.

Music composer-singer Pritam has composed the Hockey World Cup theme song 'Hockey Hai Dil Mera.' Actress Disha Patani, Singer Pritam, Sriya Lenka, and other K-Pop band BLACK SWAN members will perform live at the iconic stadium. Singers Lisa Mishra and Namita Melka called on the night before the event.

Event participation is approximately 30,000 people comprising players and officials from 16 countries to attend the opening ceremony, showcasing Odisha's culture and heritage with their performances and technology.
