Brahmastra: Ayan Mukerji says, I am nervous but I also have a lot of faith in this film’
Director Ayan Mukerji gave the audience Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, a film that will be watched by people for years and years. Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin, and Aditya Roy Kapur starred in this 2013 film The way it redefines love, friendship, ambitions, and issues made it a trendsetter for young India. The filmmaker is now coming with his new film Brahmastra which is huge and brings something new to Indian Cinema.
When asked whether completing a monumental work like Brahmastra: Part 1 or advancing toward its release and releasing it to the public presents a greater challenge. Ayan replied, "As a filmmaker, you are very nervous, you are open to judgments and you feel very vulnerable and naked when you put out your film. I used to hide when people used to watch 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'... ``Oh my God, what would they say, 'I hope they like the film' etc."
Further, the 38-year-old filmmaker added, “With Brahmastra I have put so much into the film for so long. My Tapasya of 10 years, I have very peaceful confidence when it comes to this film. Of course, I am very nervous... But there is a level where I feel very proud of the film and feel very proud of what we have accomplished here and I feel the country will feel very proud of the film and I have a lot of faith in this film. So, that sense of joy of sharing it is greater than the fear and the insecurity."
Brahmastra is produced by Dharma Productions and also stars Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. The film is slated to be released on September 9.
