Brahmastra: Ranbir and Alia 'perfect fit' for this love story, says Ayan Mukerji
The upcoming fantasy adventure film Brahmastra (2022) is one of the most awaited flicks this year. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, the film marks the first ever cinematic collaboration of the newly-wed actors. While a teaser of Brahmastra was unveiled on May 31, the trailer of film will be released on June 15.
Fans are super-excited to watch Ranbir and Alia on screen and director Ayan Mukerji said he is equally thrilled to have both the stars in the project.
He further added that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are a perfect fit for this love story. “I guess a love story is there to talk about and the thing about Brahmastra that you won’t realise right away but I hope you will take away is, that in many ways, in its core, Brahmastra Part One is also a love story amongst being many other things and I guess that is a very natural and nice fit with Ranbir and Alia,” Ayan elaborated.
Jointly produced by Dharma Productions Star Studios, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, Brahmastra will have a theatrical release on 9 September 2022 in 5 Indian languages viz, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The magnum opus presents an ensemble star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. It is directed by Ayan Mukerji, who had earlier directed Ranbir in films like Wake Up! Sid (2009) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013).
