Along with the director Anurag Kashyap and the actor Rahul Bhat, Sunny travelled to Cannes for the world premiere of her film "Kennedy" at the famous film festival.

For the premiere, Sunny wore a pink gown with a large split on one shoulder. She maintained her neat bun for the event and wore diamond earrings and adorned heels. Rahul chose a black tuxedo, while Anurag wore a black jodhpuri suit.

The movie had its world premiere during the Cannes 2023 midnight screening. According to reports, the movie got a 7-minute standing ovation. A long-thought-dead insomniac former police officer who is still working for the corrupt system and seeking forgiveness is the focus of the movie. Only two films from India were chosen as official festival selections this year, and one of them was ‘Kennedy’.
