Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan have delivered massive blockbusters whenever they have teamed up for a film. Padukone began her acting career opposite SRK in the Farah Khan directed reincarnation drama Om Shanti Om (2007). The duo next collaborated on Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express (2013), which set the cash registers jingling at the box office. They last worked together on Khan’s Happy New Year (2014), which was again a big money-spinner at the ticket window.

Padukone and Khan are reuniting after almost 8 years for Yash Raj Films’ much-anticipated suspense thriller Pathan, directed by Siddharth Anand.

In a recent interview, Padukone talked about reteaming with Khan and said, “To me, it is like coming home and working with someone I am extremely comfortable with. I started my career with him, so obviously there is a sense of trust and comfort.”

She continued, “Working is as much fun as it can be because yes, we are working but also we sit on the side like chatting and catching up and laughing and having fun.”

Pathan also features John Abraham in the lead role. The film is expected to hit theatres towards the end of 2022.
