We fell in love with Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon when they released the song Thumkeshwari from their upcoming movie Bhediya. The song had a decent beat, and the dancing was unique from anything we had seen previously. But Shraddha Kapoor's cameo as Stree, looking as lovely as ever in red, was a major surprise. Later, Shraddha Kapoor took to Instagram and confirmed officially that Stree 2 is happening. Now, the male lead of Stree 2, Rajkummar Rao also confirmed the same but along with another major news.
Varun Dhawan to be a part of Stree 2?
Rajkummar Rao discussed the potential for a horror universe and Stree 2 in a recent interview, saying, "Hopefully, Stree 2 will happen soon, and yes absolutely there is a potential of getting this horror universe created but the decision is up to the makers.” When asked when he will begin filming for Stree 2, Rajkummar replied, "Hopefully soon," declining to provide any other information.
Shraddha Kapoor’s post
Shraddha Kapoor posted a BTS video of the dance track Thumkeshwari from the Bhediya on her Instagram page, in which she appeared. She may be heard stating, "Stree is back. It feels great to be back on set. Super mood. We will soon start filming for Stree 2 and that is really exciting for me," she said in the video.
Stree Meets Bhediya
A source confirmed Varun’s cameo in Stree 2 saying, “Varun Dhawan is anticipated to play a role in Stree 2 as well, following Shraddha's brief cameo in a Bhediya song. Stree later becomes involved in the events of Bhediya, which would launch Maddock's distinctive horror-comedy universe.”
