Due to a busy filming schedule, Ali Fazal drops out of Fukrey, three days before the shoot
Fukrey 3, which had been postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has finally gone on floors, but one crucial cast member will be absent. Zafar aka Ali Fazal has dropped out of Fukrey 3 due to a hectic filming schedule, according to a recent report by Mid-Day. Ali, who has played a key role in the Fukrey series, will not appear in the third part because he has committed his dates to Vishal Bhardwaj directorial Khufiya. Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Richa Chaddha, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi will star in Mrigdeep Singh Lamba's film.
According to sources close to the agency, Ali Fazal is preoccupied with Khufiya and hence has no choice but to drop Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's directorial Fukrey 3 when it begins production next week.
A source revealed, “Ali was busy till early February with the shoot of Kandahar, and promotions of Death on the Nile. Keeping his commitments in mind, Vishal sir lined up Khufiya for February. "
"Meanwhile, Mrighdeep got the combination dates of Richa, Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat and Manjot Singh, and is eager to roll Fukrey 3. It’s an unfortunate turn of events, but Ali won’t be a part of it as he is busy with the thriller till March-end,” the source further added.
Fukrey follows four pals, Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Sharma, and Manjot Singh, as they strive to get easy money in whatever way they can, which gets them into problems. Fans are looking forward to the third instalment, which promises a lot of laughs and pleasure.
The source went on to say that the producers will clarify Ali's absence in Fukrey 3. "The story will be tweaked to justify Ali’s absence. He won’t be replaced," said the source.
