Actress Esha Gupta, who made her Hindi film debut opposite Emraan Hashmi in Jannat 2, is appalled by the government inaction over the air pollution crisis in Delhi-NCR.

The actress, who hails from Delhi, is questioning why the problem of smog and air pollution recurs every year during the onset of winters and why the government authorities have failed in tackling the menace.

Esha slams authorities for inaction all round the year

It is plain sad that instead of taking preventative measures throughout the year, our leaders only react when the air becomes unbreathable. The burning of crop is adding to it (the air pollution) and has been the significant factor leading to extremely high AQI density, along with the vehicle waste in the city," said Esha.

The 36-year-old actress further opined that the authorities should come together and work for the solution of stubble burning by use of Bio Enzyme-PUSA.

PUSA enzyme is a great solution to end stubble burning, says Gupta

Esha further adds that the Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI) has developed an enzyme called PUSA to eradicate stubble burning. "Once sprayed, the enzyme turns the stubble into manure in just 20-25 days," stated Esha.

The Raaz 3 actress opines that stubble burning can be completely done away with, if farmers are provided with the PUSA enzyme free of cost.

On work front, Esha was last seen in the film One Day: Justice Delivered. Currently, she is gearing up for Hera Pheri 3, which also stars Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty and Kartik Aaryan.
