The image in the still shows Tara Singh, played by Sunny Deol, seated on the grounds of a cremation. In front of a corpse, he has his hands folded and appears to be lamenting a loss. In the distance, a mosque may be seen. Before, there were murmurs going around that Sakeena may pass away in ‘Gadar 2’. And even if nothing else, this movie served to strengthen that idea.
However, Ameesha Patel has made it clear in her description that the image does not allude to Sakeena's passing. She wrote to her followers. “Hey all my lovely fans!! Too many of you have been concerned and worried about this shot from GADAR 2 thinking it is SAKEENA who is dead!!! Well, it’s not !! Who it is I can’t say but it is NOT SAKEENA! So please don’t worry !! Love u all.”
Some social media users refused to accept that the still wasn't a spoiler, even after the clarification. They bombarded the page with comments accusing Ameesha Patel of giving away the plan. While one user remarked, “Ese to puri movie hi reveal kar dogi mam (you'll reveal the whole film like this)” another disappointed individual agreed, “Story bhi batado (tell us the story too).” “Why are you spoiling the movie before its release, people would have gone in anticipation of something wrong with Sakeena, and now you curtailed the audience by giving the spoiler out or maybe you are just bluffing," came another harsh criticism.
