Gadar 2 V/S OMG 2: After Defeating Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’, Sunny Deol To Have a FACE-OFF With Akshay Kumar’s Movie!
‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel has a following of its own kind. The original film has an immense fan following so much that people could not have enough of the movie and Sunny Deol’s dialogues.
During the release of the film, there was Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’ which was released at the same time. The film was also based on the British era and went on to become a cult classic. However, speaking about the Box Office numbers, ‘Lagaan’ earned Rs 66 crore while Gadar went on to garner Rs 78 crore at the ticket windows.
The two movies had a Box Office clash which was one of the biggest at that point in time.
With the second instalment all set to be premiered, looks like now ‘Gadar 2’ will face a clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ on August 11!
Two big films, both sequels and both most anticipated. Both films and stars have a huge fanbase and it will be interesting to see which movie performs better.
