Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan's much-anticipated movie is almost ready for release. In recent times, nevertheless, the movie has been trending as trolls demand a "boycott" of the movie. Aamir had earlier encouraged people to refrain from doing so and see the movie. The actor recently stated that he "respects the sentiment" of individuals who do not wish to do so.

In a recent interview, the actor was questioned regarding the boycott, to which he replied, "If I have hurt anyone by any means, I regret it. I do not want to hurt anyone, but if people don’t want to see the film, I would respect that too. There is not much you can do about that. But I would still want Laal Singh Chaddha to reach a wide audience. A movie is brought to life by a team of a hardworking crew and artists, so I just hope people like it),” said the actor.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who portrays Rupa in the Advait Chandan-directed film, was previously questioned about her thoughts on the social media trends of movie boycotting. Kareena had a different perspective on it, stating that one must learn to ignore the criticism that will inevitably come from others and that a well-made film "will conquer anything."

Laal Singh Chaddha upcoming comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan from a screenplay written by Eric Roth and adapted by Atul Kulkarni. The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios, and Paramount Pictures. It is a remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself is based on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name. Laal Singh Chaddha is slated to release in theatres on August 11. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor and Mona Singh in pivotal roles. Telugu star Naga Chaitanya is set to make his Bollywood debut in this film, he’ll be seen playing the character of Laal’s best friend.
