I would love to do a biopic on Virat Kohli: Kartik Aaryan
2022 will be the year of biopics for Bollywood. Many biopics are currently in production, including two biopics on cricket personalities, set to release this year only.
Now, in a recent interview with a publication, Kartik Aaryan has revealed that he will love to play the role of Virat Kohli in his biopic. This year the biopics on Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami, the current and former captain of India women’s cricket team respectively are to be released. And if Kartik Aaryan gets to make his dream come true, we can see another cricket biopic this or maybe next year.
Kartik Aaryan’s recent film Dhamaka (2021) was a great success and his upcoming film in 2022, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is also expected to become a blockbuster. Kartik also has two more films lined up in 2022, Freddy and Shehzada.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kartik was answering the fans' questions, one of which was ‘which cricketer’s biopic would he like to do?’ Kartik said, “If I’d love to do a biopic… Virat Kohli! Virat – the Indian captain in Tests – is one of the most successful and popular cricketers in the world today and is widely considered one of the greatest ever.”
Recently Kartik had shared a picture of him in cricket gear. Fans thought it was for his new film which will be based on cricket, but as it turns out it was for an ad.
