Ira made her professional directorial debut with a theatrical version of Euripides' Medea, starring Hazel Keech in the title character. In December 2019, it made its debut in a number of Indian cities. Ira studied music, and her brother Junaid frequently assisted her father Aamir Khan in the filming process.
