Jaw dropping fee of Laal Singh Chaddha starcast! Read on
Laal Singh Chaddha (2022) is one of the most awaited films this year. A remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself based on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name, the film stars Aamir Khan as the titular character along with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya (in his Hindi film debut).
The screenplay has been written by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni and the film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures.
For the first time in his career, Aamir Khan will be seen in the role of a Sikh man. In the film, events in India's history unfold through the perspective of Laal Singh Chaddha (played by Aamir), an autistic man who has a great understanding of emotions.
While the film's premise has definitely piqued our interest, its budget (180 crore) and the jaw-dropping fee paid to the actors is also making headlines. Given below are the fee charged by the starcast of Laal Singh Chaddha:
1) Aamir Khan:
For playing the titular character Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan has reportedly been paid an unbelievable Rs 50 crore for the film.
2) Kareena Kapoor Khan:
In this movie, Bebo plays Manpreet Kaur Chaddha- the love interest of Aamir's character. She has reportedly been paid Rs 8 crore for the film.
3) Naga Chaitanya:
South heartthrob Naga Chaitanya, who makes his Hindi film debut in Laal Singh Chaddha, will be seen playing the role of a character named Ritesh Singh. For this, he has been paid Rs 6 crore.
Noteworthy, Laal Singh Chaddha also stars TV actress Mona Singh and features Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan in cameos. The film is slated to for a theatrical release on 11 August 2022.
