On Thursday, the second song from Pathaan was released, and not many people were impressed. Jhoome Jo Pathaan, starring Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan, have been receiving feedback on Twitter. While the majority of people loathed the song, there were many fans who thought there were 'cringe' pictures of Shah Rukh appearing cool while his shirt wafted in the breeze and his abs were shown.
Shah Rukh is getting compared to Tom Cruise
Many people did not find Shah Rukh to be impressive and compared him to Hollywood star Tom Cruise. Wrote, "At 57, Shahrukh Khan makes cringe like #JhoomeJoPathaan, while Tom Cruise, at 60, pulls off unthinkable acts.” People disliked the song as they didn’t like anything about the song whether it’s lyrics or music.
Director wanted Arijit to sing the song
Director Siddharth Anand is known for his work on the film War. Before the song was released, Sidharth Anand exuded confidence in it. He stated: "I made it quite clear when we were planning Jhoome Jo Pathaan that Arijit Singh should sing for Shah Rukh Khan. We asked him to perform for our superstar because he is the best singer in our nation! In this choreographed dance, which allows SRK and Deepika to let their hair down and groove to the song, Arijit has worked his magic with his charming voice."
