Kangana Ranaut is known for calling a spade a spade. She is not the one who will mince words in order to be in somebody’s good books. Over the years, we have seen the Queen (2014) star speaking her mind fearlessly and talking about things that concern the nation.

The four-time National Film Award-winning actress has now spoken about the pin drop silence of Bollywood on the recently released film The Kashmir Files, directed by independent filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri.

The film, which narrates the heart-wrenching story of Kashmiri Pandits’ exodus from the Kashmir valley, has been garnering terrific response ever since its release on March 11. It has been earning stupendously well at the ticket counter.

While the audience is in awe of the film, we have not seen any A-list Bollywood star or filmmaker speaking about it, praising or condemning it. Ranaut, who perhaps saw this coming, took a dig at Bollywood as a mafia again.

Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote, “The movie The Kashmir Files is the first successful and profitable film in the theatres post pandemic. I am telling you all this because the movie mafia, their chatukaar and their bikau won't tell you… No one from the industry will applaud or appreciate it, so I am doing my bit.”

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut is waiting for the release of her next films Dhaakad and Tejas. She has a few more interesting projects in the pipeline.
