Karan Johar to reteam with Hrithik Roshan after two long decades for an actioner?
According to reports, Karan Johar is set to reteam with Hrithik Roshan after a long gap of two decades. The filmmaker directed the superstar in his second directorial venture Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), which also featured Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol, and Kareena Kapoor Khan on the primary cast.
Johar, who is primarily known for directing romantic and emotional films, will explore the action genre for the first time in his directorial career. He has, however, produced several action entertainers under Dharma Productions, including Agneepath (2012) starring Roshan.
Source close to Dharma Productions informed a publication that the untitled film reuniting Johar and Roshan will be an action and love story mounted on a massive scale. It will go before cameras by the end of this year. If things fall into place, the two will join forces after 21 years.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar is presently busy with his next directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The much-awaited film stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in prominent roles. It is set to release next year on February 10, 2023.
Hrithik Roshan, on the other hand, is currently filming Vikram Vedha. The film, a remake of the successful Tamil film of the same name, also stars Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte in important characters.
