Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor celebrate mother Babita's 75th birthday, share throwback pictures of the actress
Today is Babita Kapoor's 75th birthday. Babita is a former Bollywood actress who primarily worked in Hindi films. In 1966, she made her acting debut in the film Dus Lakh (1966), which was a box office hit. However, the actress rose to prominence with the film Raaz (1967), in which she co-starred with Rajesh Khanna. Babita left the entertainment profession after appearing in around 19 films.
Kareena Kapoor took to Instagram to commemorate her mom’s birthday with unseen throwback pictures.
The Jab We Met (2007) actress shared a monochrome photo of the veteran actress from her earlier years, when she was still capturing hearts with her panache. She captioned the picture, “Happy birthday Mothership. My Maa. #No beauty like Mamma.” Karisma Kapoor, on the other hand, took a trip down memory lane and shared a childhood photo of herself with her mother. Babita can be seen holding Karisma in her arms in the photo. The caption on Karisma's post reads, “तुम जियों हज़ारों साल, ये मेरी हैं आरज़ू.. that’s what we wish for everyday… The OG birthday song “Happy birthday to the original Sunita” our Mama Circa - Farz 1967 #75thbirthday #mamalove #happybirthday".
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena will next be seen in the Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha, which is set to hit theaters on August 11 this year. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, is an official Bollywood remake of Tom Hanks' starrer Forrest Gump (1994).
