On Thursday in Jaisalmer, veteran actor Sharmila Tagore celebrated her 78th birthday. To celebrate Sharmila's birthday, everyone flew to Rajasthan, from Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor to Soha Ali Khan and Saba Ali Khan. On Instagram, they posted unposed photos taken during the cordial celebrations.

Kareena posted a photo on her Instagram stories with the message, "Happy birthday to my gorgeous mother-in-law."
Kareena and Sharmila may be seen posing for the camera in the image. In matching black dresses, Kareena is spotted twinning with Sharmila.

On October 16, 2012, Kareena wed Saif Ali Khan, an actor and Sharmila's son.
The two welcomed their son Taimur in 2016 and their son Jeh in February 2021. Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan are the children of Saif and Amrita Singh, who were married before Kareena.
