Kartik Aaryan refuses to comment on Karan Johar’s film Dostana 2
Kartik Aaryan is a self-made star and absolutely nobody can deny that. The actor, who started his acting career with Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), has not only completed a decade in showbiz but has also delivered several box-office hits over the course of time, cementing his position as a commercially viable actor who can bring audiences to theatres with his hard-earned stardom.
In 2019, Aaryan joined the cast of Dharma Productions’ much-talked-about Dostana 2, a sequel to the 2008 hit Dostana, with Janhvi Kapoor and debutant Lakshya. His fans got really excited and were looking forward to seeing him in the comic-caper. However, earlier this year, Dharma Productions released a statement announcing that Aaryan was no longer a part of the project.
"Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence, we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D'Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon,” read the statement.
Kartik Aaryan has not spoken a word about his exit from the film. When he was asked about the same at a recent event, the actor refused to comment. While answering another question, he said, “I am not a part of any Bollywood camps. I have reached here because of my talent. And I will do the same in the future. I don't want to comment on Karan Johar’s film Dostana.”
Kartik Aaryan can be currently seen in Dhamaka (2021) which is streaming on Netflix. His line-up also includes Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Freddy, and Shehzada.
