Malaika Arora speaks up on post-accident trauma, calls beau Arjun Kapoor 'her man'
Malaika Arora, was severely injured in a car accident a little over a month ago. Malaika was travelling from Pune to Mumbai when she was involved in a three-vehicle collision. The actress has now spoken extensively about her life-changing car accident in an interview. She also mentioned a scar that served as a constant reminder of the car accident.
Malaika was taken to the hospital after the accident, where she was treated for minor injuries. Malaika was involved in an accident on April 2, 2022, and returned to the sets after two weeks of bed rest. She also attended Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's wedding reception last month.
Malaika Arora recently spoke out about her life following the tragedy, as well as her future with Arjun Kapoor, in an interview. After her accident, Malaika recalls seeing blood all around her and claimed the scar on her forehead serves as a reminder of the 'fragility of life.' She went on to say all she wanted was for her mother and son Arhaan to be safe.
The Chaiyya Chaiyya actress said in a statement, “Sometimes, I still recall that night; I was praying for two things. I didn’t want to die that night, and I didn’t want to lose my eyesight. When the accident happened, I’m told I was constantly asking for my mother and my son Arhaan. I was mumbling about going back on set on Monday. The accident happened on a Saturday night. I didn’t go back on the Monday after the accident. But in 15 days, I did.”
Malaika also opened up on her relationship with Arjun Kapoor, claiming that the 2 States (2014) actor gives her "confidence and surety" and is "quite serious" about it. “I always tell him that I want to grow old with you. We will figure out the rest, but I know he’s my man,” concluded the actress.
