Jersey (2022), Mrunal Thakur's most recent film, was released today, April 22. Mrunal had an unintentional but extremely adorable interaction with the original's starring man. Mrunal met the Telugu actor Nani while filming her next film with Dulquer Salmaan in Hyderabad.
Mrunal Thakur was captivated by Nani's humility. The Telugu actor expressed his delight for the upcoming Jersey adaptation, which will star Mrunal and Shahid in the key roles. The film was released in theaters across India today. Mrunal, who saw the Telugu film and was inspired by Nani and Shraddha's performances, wanted to be a part of the remake. Goutam Tinnanuri is in charge of both the Hindi and Telugu version of Jersey.
Speaking about her meeting with Nani, the Dhamaka (2021) actress said, “Nani was so humble and such an absolute sweetheart. He even shared with me his excitement to see the remake and I’m looking forward to see what he thinks of the remake. When I watched the original film, it was Shraddha and his performance that made me want to work in this film. So I’m glad I got to meet him in person."
Mrunal Thakur plays the female lead and Shahid Kapoor's wife in Jersey. Shahid Kapoor's father, Pankaj Kapur, also stars in the film. This is the first time the father-son duo will share screen space together. In the film, Pankaj Kapur will portray the role of a cricket coach to Shahid's character. Jersey is a remake of the Telugu film of the same title, which starred Nani in the lead role.
