After a screen absence of over four years, Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan will next feature in Yash Raj Films' Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand. Co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the film is set to release on 25 January 2023.

Besides Pathaan, the superstar will also be appearing in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu, scheduled for release on 23 December 2023. On June 3, it was confirmed that Khan will star in Jawan, directed by Atlee. It is set for release on 02 June 2023.

The last SRK appeared on screen was for Aanand L Rai's Zero (2018), which also featured Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The film couldn't do well at the box office and was declared a failure.

With three big-budget releases in the pipeline, expectations are running high for Shah Rukh Khan who has over ₹300 riding on his films.

"With three films in a single year, there is a lot riding on SRK right now. Not to mention that all three films are big-ticket entertainers mounted on an even bigger budget. Given this there seems to be anywhere upwards of ₹300 crore riding on Shah Rukh Khan alone,” an industry source revealed.

While we are equally excited for all the three films, it will be interesting to see if SRK claims back his crown of being the Shahanshah of the box office or not. That only time (and viewers) will tell.
