Palak Tiwari, the daughter of TV actress Shweta Tiwari, shot to stardom after appearing in the music video Bijlee Bijlee alongside singer Harrdy Sandhu. Palak gained prominence and popularity as a result of the foot-tapping number. The star kid, who is gearing up for her Bollywood debut, has been making news for her straightforwardness in voicing her opinions. Palak recently spoke out against the entertainment industry's double-edged beauty standards, claiming that it's not a 'standard set by actors, but set for us by the audience.'

The aspiring actress also discussed the value of grooming oneself in the entertainment industry. Speaking with a news portal, Palak said, “People speak so much about how actors need to be presentable, but at the same time there’s so much contradictory conversation that actors, especially budding actors and actresses are setting an almost unattainable standard of beauty. But I have been noticing, it’s not a standard set by us, but set for us by the audience.”

Palak went on to elaborate on her statement, saying, “If you have these surgeries and all that, they have things to say about it, but if you don’t (get those things done), then you are unadorned, and not ready. So you can never really truly please an audience with how you groom yourself, or not, because they will always portray their insecurities on to you.”

Palak also spoke out on how a certain body type is promoted in today's culture, claiming that there is no such thing as an ideal body type. She explained that she lives in India, where an ideal body type is a size medium, but that size mediums are fat shamed. She added that when someone is too skinny, they have an issue because ‘oh my god, you are such a mass of bones’ but if you are voluptuous, if you have some mass to yourself (they say) ‘What is wrong with her? Has she not been dieting?’She claims that it is the same toxic circle of individuals who are never happy, and that it is pointless to pay attention to it.
