Actor Pankaj Tripathi's story has to be one of the most amazing rags-to-riches stories in Bollywood. Tripathi is regarded as one of the best actors in Hindi cinema today. He made his cinematic debut with minor roles in Run (2004) and Omkara (2006), and has since appeared in over 60 films and television shows. His antagonistic part in the Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) movie, however, was his breakthrough performance.

The actor revealed in an interview that he has no extravagant material desires in life and is pleased with whatever he has because of his humble upbringing. He said, “I started my career with the smallest roles in movies. I have spent years essaying multiple roles assigned to me by filmmakers, while running my soles thin in pursuit of a big break on the big screen. I come from a place where there was no television in my growing up days so there was no mode of entertainment through TV, forget what it looks like.”

He added, “At that point I never thought that some day I would be endorsing any brands or products. Today, I feel humbled and honoured that so many brands have given me the responsibility of representing them on such a large scale. It feels like my patience has finally paid off and that people still connect with simplicity and genuineness.”

Pankaj Tripathi says he chooses brands in which he can put his audience's trust since it's a big duty on his shoulders to represent a brand that truly represents his vision and beliefs.

On the work front, Tripathi is currently gearing up for OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2 and Sherdil.
