Priyanka Chopra Jonas launches homeware line, says ‘I bring India to everything I do’
Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who recently started her restaurant in New York under the name Sona, has launched her new business venture: a homeware line named Sona Home with co-founder Maneesh Goyal. Priyanka who has never failed to take her country’s culture to Hollywood speaks about how she believes in bringing India to everything she does.
On her launch day, the actress shared a video on her Instagram handle where she speaks about India’s culture, saying, “The thing about our culture in India is family, in the community, is bringing people together, and that's what the ethos of Sona Home to me is."
To this, the co-founder Maneesh Goyal added, “We want it to be like it's so fun if we're having takeout or a fabulous party. Whatever we might be doing together with our friends or family, we just want it to be rooted in culture and home, and a sense of like there's no place else I want to be."
The 39-year-old actress added a caption to her video which read, “Launch day is here! I couldn’t be more proud to introduce you all to SONA HOME. It was challenging to come from India and make America my second home, but my journey led me to a place where I found a second family and friends. I bring a piece of India into everything I do and this is an extension of that thought. It’s awesome to be working alongside maneeshkgoyal and our entire team in creating something so dear to our hearts and heritage.”
On the work front, the actress recently completed the shoot for her new series Citadel which will stream on Amazon Prime Video. Priyanka will also be a part of Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa along with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt as well.
