Priyanka Chopra opens up about being an immigrant
The global powerhouse Priyanka Chopra opens up about the life she is building with her husband Nick Jonas, their daughter and fur babies. In a recent Instagram post, the star shared her new venture named ‘Sona homes’, a homeware line that pays homage to her Indian heritage. The actor opened up about how important her heritage is to her as an immigrant.
Expressing what she feels it means to be an Indian, the actress said, "Indian culture is known for its hospitality, it’s all about community and bringing people together..."
She further added, "It is rooted in creating a home out of a house," she said and went on to add, "That to me, is so important as an immigrant, who has moved from India. I left my roots behind, but I found you here. My friends and family here are the people that I have chosen. This is my adoptive country and (I want) to be able to bring the heritage of where I grew up and put it into homes across the country of America."
The actor even opened up about her move to the US and Hollywood, saying, "It was challenging to come from India and make America my second home, but my journey led me to a place where I found a second family and friends."
PeeCee is known to wear many hats and has recently wrapped up shooting for an upcoming series Citadel, a Russo Brothers project, co-starring Richard Madden.
