Radhika Apte says she 'can't cope' with colleagues undergoing face and body surgeries
Despite the fact that Radhika Apte is a well-known face in Bollywood, she prefers to stay out of the limelight. The Sacred Games (2018) actress admitted that she doesn't understand the industry's shallow nature or the unwillingness to accept bodily signs of aging.
Radhika, who is currently working on the film Vikram Vedha, said she can't 'cope' with it. She said in an interview, “What I’m really struggling with is (people unable) to combat age, especially in the industry with people going through surgeries. I know so many of my colleagues who have gone through so many surgeries to change their faces and bodies.”
She went on to say that those who preach body positivity are often the same people who have undergone surgeries. “I am a bit tired of that and find it very challenging,” she said.
Radhika said that after more than 17 years in the field, one thing is certain: she will not compromise. She claims she is tired of doing things she doesn't agree with or saying nice things about people she doesn't like. The actress also remarked that she is no longer interested in small conversation or attending parties that are unnecessary. She claims that the spark that motivates her has vanished, so she's taking a sabbatical to explore it more.
In terms of work, Apte will next be seen in the film Vikram Vedha, which also stars Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan.
