Raj Kundra's pornography case: Shilpa Shetty's husband claims he was ‘damaged by the public trial’ he underwent
Shilpa Shetty, an actor and businesswoman, was married to billionaire Raj Kundra, whose arrest in a pornography case shocked the nation last year. In September 2021, he was let out on bail. Raj talked about his imprisonment and the media trial earlier today during a "Ask Me Anything" session on Twitter.
Kundra, who has drawn notice for donning odd face masks and avoiding reporters, explained that he is acting in this way because he is "hurt." The businessman claimed that he is not concealing himself from the public but rather is taking care that no media outlet takes a photo of him.
His message stated, "I don't use my mask with my friends and fans. That's all the media will ever see of me from now on because I wear it!"
"I am not wearing it for public just don’t wish to give media a chance to click my face! I am hurt by the media trial they put me through! Media is not above the law," he wrote in another tweet.
He explained how he got involved in the porn case scandal to a fan by saying, "This will be out shortly! Many topics including #corruption #vendetta #rivalry I can reassure my supporters that I have never produced or taken part in anything pornographic in my life."
A user later enquired as to whether he dealt with pornographic material. "Never have, never will," Raj retorted.
Since his release on bail in the case involving the pornographic material, Kundra has maintained a low profile even on social media. In June 2022, he came back to Twitter after a year.
