Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar’s Badhaai Do to hit theatres on 11th February
The upcoming Bollywood film Badhaai Do is scheduled to release on 11th February, 2022. The makers of the film announced the release date by unveiling a brand-new poster starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar. The trailer of the film is set to release on 25th January.
Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, Badhaai Do is a spiritual sequel to the 2018, award winning film Badhaai Ho starring actors like Ayushman Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao. However, in this movie, Rajkummar will be seen playing a cop whereas Bhumi will be seen playing a PT teacher.
In the poster, we can see Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar dressed in a wedding avatar trying to quieten each other. The actors took to their social media handles and shared the first look of the movie poster. Rajkumar wrote, “Kal aa raha hai hamara trailer. Kal Badhaai dena vaise aaj bhi dena chaho toh de sakte ho. #BadhaaiDoInCinemas Can't keep it a secret anymore, Badhaai Do trailer out Tomorrow! #BadhaaiDoInCinemas.”
On the other hand, Bhumi posted the same picture and captioned,'Arre yaar ab toh ye secret kal out ho jayega! Kyuki kal aa raha hai hamara trailer aur hum aa rahe hai theatres main. Hey bhagwan, I am very excited #BadhaaiDotrailer #BadhaaiDoInCinemas.”
Further giving the details of the film, director Harshavardhan Kulkarni said, “We're also tapping a big social issue with this film. It's too early to reveal details. All I can say is that Badhaai Do is as much a family entertainer as Badhaai Ho, only the world we're creating is more diverse. It moves from a small town to a bigger one and then, on to something else. There's a lot of colour and drama.”
Apart from Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, the film also stars actors like Sheeba Chaddha, Seema Pahwa, Nitesh Pandey and Shashi Bhushan.
