Rajkummar Rao spends a whopping ₹44 crore to purchase Janhvi Kapoor's triplex apartment in Juhu
Rajkummar Rao has bought a brand-new home in Juhu, a premium neighbourhood in Mumbai. The actor spent Rs 44 crore on the deal. It's interesting to note that the triplex apartment was formerly owned by Rajkummar's Roohi (2020) co-star Janhvi Kapoor, who bought it in 2020. One of the most costly real estate deals in recent times is this one.
Rajkummar's apartment is located on the fourteenth, fifteenth, and sixteenth floors of a building in the Juhu-Vile Parle Development Scheme. It has a floor area of 3,456 sq ft and provides the future owners with 6 parking spaces. The agreement between Janhvi and Rajkummar and his wife Patralekhaa was finalised on March 31, 2022, although the records state that it was registered on July 21, 2022.
Janhvi spent Rs 39 crore when she bought the Juhu property back in 2020. The price was set at Rs. 43.87 crore when Rajkummar and his wife Patralekhaa purchased it from her. The old owner is said to have generated a profit of more than Rs 4 crore. Rajkummar also contributed Rs 2.19 crore in stamp duty. Two years earlier, Janhvi paid 78 lakh rupees in stamp duty. This difference in stamp duty is due to the state government's 3-percent discount provided to homebuyers between September 2020 and December 2020 in an effort to increase construction in the city.
