Ranbir Kapoor divulges details about his character Shiva in Brahmastra
Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film, Brahmastra. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. The filmmakers have been releasing teasers from the film in the lead-up to its release. While most of the plot has been kept under wraps, Ranbir Kapoor has finally revealed details about his character.
Ranbir recently revealed that he will play a DJ in Brahmastra during a recent event. He said, “I play the character of Shiva, who is a DJ and he is born with a certain strange connection with fire."
"It is his journey into the world of ancient astras (weapons) and of realising the divine connection to fire and also his connection to the Brahmastra waking up,” he continued.
Meanwhile, the makers of Brahmastra released a teaser in which the whole cast of the fantasy drama was revealed. The 36-second teaser featured Ranbir Kapoor as Shiva, Alia Bhatt as Isha, Amitabh Bachchan as Prof. Arvind Chaturvedi, Mouni Roy as Damayanti, and Nagarjuna Akkineni as Ajay Vashisht.
This will be Ranbir's first collaboration with his wife Alia Bhatt, and fans are excited to see them on the big screen together. Brahmastra is set to release on September 9th.
Apart from Brahmastra, Ranbir has a number of films in the works, including Yash Raj Films' Shamshera and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal.
