Ranbir Kapoor to play legendary Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly in his biopic? Details Inside!
Sourav Ganguly, a former Indian cricketer, revealed a while back that a biography of his life was in the works. In reality, a month prior, Ganguly and his friend Sanjay Das had been to Mumbai for a meeting to discuss the biopic of the latter. The impending biopic has received yet another update. It's interesting that Ranbir Kapoor has been chosen by the Sourav Ganguly biopic's producers to portray the renowned cricketer.
The biopic’s script is almost ready
A report claims that the script is nearing completion. The report added that Ranbir Kapoor has been confirmed for the biopic and will play Sourav Ganguly on film. The source was said to be close to the former Team India skipper. There may have been a date conflict, but it appears that Ranbir has granted his nod now. On the other hand, the much-anticipated biopic's director and the rest of the cast have yet to be announced. It's also important to note that Ranbir joining the biopic has not received any official confirmation.

Meanwhile, Ranbir is all set for the release of his upcoming romantic comedy film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar in which he will star alongside Shraddha Kapoor. Helmed by popular filmmaker, Luv Ranjan, the flick is scheduled to hit the big screens on March 8th, 2023. On the other hand, Ranbir also has another release this year which is ‘Animal’ where is paired up with Rashmika Mandanna.
