Ranveer Singh claims nude photo was tampered and morphed; netizens react
Ranveer Singh is known for his 'hatke' onscreen characters, his wacky sense of style and also for his OTT ways. The actor triggered a massive controversy after he appeared in a nude photoshoot for New York based Paper magazine in July 2022.
A month later, he was summoned by Mumbai Police to appear for questioning in connection with several police complaints filed against him after the pictures went viral on social media.
As per latest developments, Ranveer has stated that one of the pictures claimed to be a part of his nude photoshoot, in which his private parts were allegedly visible, is morphed and does not belong to him.
This is what the Gunday (2012) actor told the Mumbai Police, in his statement recorded on August 29, 2022.
As soon as this news broke out, Twitter was flooded with some hillarious memes and statements. One user wrote, 'Nude photos ko bhi morph kaun karta hai. Morph karne ko bacha hee kya rehta hai.'
Another wrote, 'Shocking. Mumbai Police must appoint a 'crack' team to solve it.' Similarly, another twitterati replied, 'He suddenly realised after 3 months of that photoshoot'
Noteworthy, it was on the basis of this particular picture that a case was registered against Ranveer (on charges of obscenity) by the Mumbai Police on July 26. Furthermore, the picture in question was also not a part of the collection of seven photographs shared by Ranveer on his official Instagram account.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai police have now sent the photograph to forensic science laboratory to ascertain any tampering. In case the image turns out to be a morphed one, then Ranveer Singh is likely to get a clean chit in the cases registered against him.
