Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone playing Dev & Amrita in Brahmastra sequel?
As we know, 'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' is a part of a trilogy. While the cameos in the first installement came as a surprise to many, viewers are now excited about the sequel and the stars who will feature in it.
In the first part, Shah Rukh Khan as Vanarastra and Dimple Kapadia as a member of the Brahmansh impressed audiences. And from what we hear now, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to star as Dev and Amrita in Brahmastra Part Two.
Recently, Journalist Anupama Chopra hinted at this when she said, "I hope that the learnings of this film (Brahmastra Part One) enable them (the makers) to make a kickass part two with of course Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.”
Reports also suggest that the makers are planning to start work on Brahmastra Part Two by the end of this year.
"Ayan has more or less written the script for the entire Trilogy before he started shooting Part 1. Now he needs to fine-tune Part 2, make it more racy and perhaps accentuate the plot points which have been liked in the first part. Karan Johar (the producer) and his co-producers Fox-Star are keen to kick off Part 2 sooner rather than later. Ayan wants to take a break before getting into Part 2. But it looks like he won’t be allowed any respite,” a source close to the project recently revealed.
Written and directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. As per the makers, the film's box office collection has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark globally and the current trends further indicate an upward run in the coming days.
