Ranveer Singh reveals he nodded a yes to Jayeshbhai Jordaar on the spot
If the trailer of Jayeshbhai Jordaar is anything to go by, Ranveer Singh’s film looks like a thoroughly entertaining film with a beautiful message attached to it. Arjun Reddy (2017) fame Shalini Pandey will set her foot in Bollywood with this film.
The social comedy drama is produced by Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma under Yash Raj Films. Filmmaker Divyang Thakkar will be marking his directorial debut with Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
Talking about the film, Ranveer Singh recently said that he said yet to the script of Jayeshbhai Jordaar in one go. “The unique thing about the script was that I had never heard of such a story before. When I narrated the film, I was crying and laughing at the same time. To induce such a feeling, that’s a rare film. Even though he is a first-time director, it is also for the first time in my life, I said ‘yes’ to a script on the spot! I said, ‘I have to do this film!’,” said the 83 (2021) actor while speaking about the film.
The plot of the film revolves around a married man trying to save his unborn girl child. The film also stars Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Deeksha Joshi in prominent roles.
Jayeshbhai Jordaar is scheduled to hit the marquee on 13th of May.
