Reviewing the brew; Koffee with Karan’s first episode had Ranveer Singh with Alia Bhatt and it had entertainment, crazy laughter and ultimate confessions
After much anticipation, the first episode finally aired on the 7th of July with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. Whether you love or hate the show you can not deny the candid moments the stars have on the couch as entertaining. The leading actors from Karan’s upcoming ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ graced the first episode of exciting season 7.
The conversation took off with Alia and Ranveer sharing how they did and didn’t expect the show itself to continue. During which Karan did open about how Bollywood in the last two years was “Vilified”. Alia shared that at the time of the pandemic her days were spent taking care of family and recouping from the loss of the late legend, Rishi Kapoor.
The episode turned out to be filled with candid moments of surprise and uncontrollable laughter. Viewers learnt that Ranveer Singh who is such a versatile actor also is an extremely talented mimicry artist. The actor had spot-on impressions of Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan, Dharmendra, Ajay Devgan and more.
Although the ‘risque’ element was not at the same level as previous seasons, revelations like multiple sex playlists of Ranveer Singh and Alia being too tired for a ‘suhaagraat’ were pretty jaw-dropping. The rapid-fire round had a twist as Karan Johar had promised in interviews leading up to the airing, there was a live audience deciding who the winner will be. Overall, the highlights of the show were Alia Bhatt’s old email ID which was verbatim, ‘punkbabe_21’.
The episode is a good watch for those looking to brew a pot of laughter and not take content too seriously. The show surely has the attention of the audience and viewers are waiting for the coming Thursday to see episode two.
