Days after a threat letter was sent to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan, information about three members of a gang run by Lawrence Bishnoi, who is also charged with the murder of Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala, has surfaced. Vikram Brar, a close associate of Goldy Brar, a Canadian gangster, is also at the centre of the conspiracy "to terrorise and extort money" from the actor-father duo.

According to the report, Lawrence Bishnoi sent a sharpshooter to shoot Salman Khan with a small-bore weapon concealed in a modified hockey case. The gangster and his men were allegedly watching the actor's movements, and the sharpshooter was aware that the Dabangg (2010) actor cycles around the neighbourhood without the presence of a bodyguard, according to the allegation.

The plot to assassinate Salman was allegedly put in motion while he was about to leave his home for an event. The gunman, who was supposedly planted outside the actor's home, backed out at the last minute, fearing being caught, as a result of the increased police presence in the neighbourhood.

Bishnoi had previously threatened to kill Salman Khan when the actor was implicated in a blackbuck poaching case in Rajasthan in 1998.
