Shah Rukh Khan calls Rajkummar Hirani his Santa Claus; announces film title ‘Dunki’
Hold your breath, Shah Rukh Khan fans, because another big movie announcement is on the way. With the release of Pathaan's teaser, the actor took the internet by storm. Reports of him working on a movie with Rajkumar Hirani have been circulating for quite some time, and the duo has finally taken to social media to make this major breakthrough. SRK is teamed up with Rajkumar Hirani on Dunki, which stars Taapsee Pannu as the lead.
Sharing the information, SRK wrote, "Dear RajkumarHirani sir, Aap toh Mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. actually, main toh set par hi rehne lagunga. Feeling humbled & excited to finally work with you. Bringing to you all #Dunki in cinemas on 22nd December 2023."
While the news will undoubtedly excite fans, SRK's Dunki will clash with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Both films will be released over the Christmas holiday. Dunki will be SRK's second movie of 2023, following Pathan, which will be released in January of next year.
A source revealed that “Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan are all set to start shooting for this social comedy set against the backdrop of immigration around April 15. A grand set, resembling Punjab, is put up at Filmcity in Mumbai, and that’s where the team will be shooting for a period of around 40 days.”
Right now Shah Rukh Khan is busy with the shooting of his prolonged film Pathaan, which stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
