Shamshera director Karan Malhotra reacts to Ranbir Kapoor’s poster being leaked online
As the poster for Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming film Shamshera was leaked on the Internet on Saturday morning, the fans' anticipation grew and people couldn’t stop praising Ranbir Kapoor’s rugged avatar from the film. Hours later, Karan Malhotra, the film's director, reacted to it. In a recent interview, Karan expressed his delight that Ranbir's fans 'love his appearance and the Shamshera poster.' He also stated that the Shamshera team planned to begin their campaign the next week.
In an interview with a news agency, the filmmaker stated about Shamshera, "We keep planning our lives so that we land things at the perfect time but in doing so we forget that the Universe is always on time. Incidents like these are a true example of that! I'm just happy that people and fans of Ranbir Kapoor are loving his look and the poster of Shamshera."
He continued, "We wanted to start our campaign mid-next week, but it looks like fans couldn't wait for us to begin. I don't blame them. They have waited for too long. Ranbir is returning to the cinemas after 4 years, and it is difficult to control the excitement. I'm just glad that the reactions are great."
Apart from Shamshera, Ranbir will star alongside Shraddha Kapoor in Luv Ranjan's upcoming romantic comedy, which has yet to be named. He will also star alongside Alia Bhatt in Ayan Mukerji's mythological thriller Brahmastra Part One: Shiva.
