Shanaya Kapoor contracts COVID-19
After her mother Maheep Kapoor, upcoming Bollywood star Shanaya Kapoor has also tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The diva is set to make her acting debut with Dharma Productions’ forthcoming offering, reportedly titled Dono Mile Iss Tarah.
After attending filmmaker Karan Johar’s intimate gathering a couple of days ago, several prominent faces from the industry have contracted the virus. Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Arora were amongst the first ones to have tested positive for the virus, followed by Seema Khan and Maheep Kapoor. Now, Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Maheep Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor, has also contracted the virus.
Shanaya Kapoor, who is quite popular on social media, took to her Instagram story to announce her diagnosis. In her post, she mentioned that she tested negative four days ago but when she took the test again as a precautionary measure, she has tested positive.
“I have tested positive for COVID-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but I am feeling ok and have isolated myself. I had tested negative four days ago. However, while testing again as precaution, the results came positive. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested. Stay safe everyone,” she wrote on Instagram.
