Swara Bhasker says SRK & Aditya Chopra are to be blamed for ruining her love life!
Love makes the world go round. We all seek love and fortunate are those who succeed in finding their soulmate. The rules of love are no different for our Bollywood stars too. While some of them claim to be old-school when it comes to matters of the heart, there are others who are only too vocal about their love life.
Swara Bhasker, who’s currently single, recently opened up in an interview where she spoke about love and the perils of singlehood. The Raanjhanaa (2013) actress revealed how her thoughts about love have changed because of superstar Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Aditya Chopra.
"I blame Aditya Chopra sir and Shah Rukh Khan for ruining my love life. Because I watched Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge at a tender age, and ever since I have been searching for that Raj, who looks like Shah Rukh, but Raj. It has taken me many many years to realise that Raj doesn't exist. I don't think I am very good at relationships."
Further stating that she has no energy left for dating, Swara adds- "I am done guys. I cannot. I don't have the energy... Single life is hard, it's like sifting through garbage."
Swara further spoke about boycott trends and how all of these affected an actor’s career and the box office performance of his/her films. She gave an example of how Alia Bhatt’s Sadak 2 was targeted by netizens post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
"I don’t know how much boycott trends actually affect the business. Alia Bhatt got a lot of negative attention on social media after Sushant's (Singh Rajput) tragic suicide, which was of course completely unfair. The kind of accusations that were being made about a lot of Bollywood A-Listers. At that time, Sadak 2 had been released, it got a lot of boycott calls, negative publicity and it did very badly,'' said Bhasker.
On the work front, Swara is looking forward to the release of Jahaan Chaar Yaar, a female buddy comedy-drama film which also features Meher Vij, Shikha Talsania and Pooja Chopra. Written and directed by Kamal Pandey and produced by Vinod Bachchan, the film is set for release on 16 September 2022.
