Tara Sutaria to make her playback singing debut with Ek Villain Returns
The trailer for the much anticipated Ek Villain Returns was unveiled yesterday by the makers. The film, which is a sequel to the 2014 film, Ek Villain, stars John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles. The thrilling and action-packed trailer has already created a lot of buzz among fans for the sizzling chemistry between John Abraham and Disha Patani and Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria. The trailer also showed a glimpse of Tara’s character in the film and she is seen playing a rockstar in one scene.
Interestingly, filmmaker Mohit Suri revealed that Tara Sutaria will be making her playback singing debut in the film.
During the trailer launch, speaking about the role she will portray in Ek Villain Returns, Tara Sutaria said that the audience will see her as a "rockstar" rather than just a "singer." When asked what preparations she made for the film, she added, “I did have some music prep but I won’t speak much about that because woh aapko baad mein pata chalega (because you will know it later).”
However, the film's director, Mohit Suri, confirmed that she also contributed to the music of the film. He said, Tara is actually singing for the film also. She is a great singer. I was like wow this is double whammy.”
For the unversed, Tara began her career in the entertainment industry as a singer with Disney India's Big Bada Boom.
Meanwhile, Ek Villain Returns is set to release on July 29th.
